Summer Suckling Pig Feasts: Swine & Wine

By DBGB Kitchen and Bar (other events)

Wednesday, July 18 2012 7:00 PM 10:00 PM EDT

ABOUT ABOUT

We’ll start with house-made charcuterie and then dig in to Chef Olivier's Pennsylvania Green Village Farms slow roasted suckling pig with a Provençal stuffing of tomato, fennel, Niçoise olives and pork loin. Side dishes include roasted zucchini, grilled asparagus, spring peas and fingerling potato - ramp persillade. End the evening with our fabulous flaming vanilla-pistachio-blackberry baked alaska.

DBGB Sommelier Kerrie O’Brien will pour wines from our great state of New York: a bright, round, citrusy Finger Lakes Thirsty Owl Dry Riesling 2011; the elegant, light and crisp Channing Daughters Rosato di Cabernet Franc 2011 from Long Island’s South Fork; and a North Fork Macari Vineyard’s Sette NV, a special 50/50 Cabernet Franc/Merlot blend with red fruit spice and cherry notes and lingering rich finish.
